ABOUT:
Cristina Gallo is a young soprano/creative producer working in the Boston area. Her first production, How to Tell a Scary Story, holds distinction as the first undergraduate- led and commissioned opera at Northwestern University. A dynamic singing-actress as well as producer, Gallo sang the role of Rosalinde in MIOpera's production of Die Fledermaus, as well as Second Lady in Miami Classical Music Festival's production of The Magic Flute. Most recently, Cristina created and produced Lost Narratives, a new recital series premiering the works of young women composers written about female historical figures. Gallo is originally from Newton, Massachusetts, and completed her Bachelor's degree of Music and Arts Administration from Northwestern University.
AERIALIST WORK: Ms. Gallo is a budding aerialist as well as operatic soprano, and uses pole choreography to enhance operatic arias. As “Vixen Vibrato”, Ms. Gallo combines the acrobatic thrills of pole with the exhilarating vocalisms of opera.
